Meet the Band
“Getting the most out of our show requires you to ‘Submit Thy Will’ with an open mind – and simply let the music take the moment.”
Formerly known throughout their hometown area as “Time to Kill,” Submit Thy Will’s early writing & rehearsals took place in a small work shed between a few friends in Riverside, TX. It wasn’t long before another band by the same name (Time to Kill) was discovered online. At that time, the band re-located to the nearby city of Huntsville, TX where they changed their name to “Submit Thy Will.”
They’re often asked about the name “Submit Thy Will” and its origin. As stated by the band itself: “Getting the most out of our show requires you to ‘Submit Thy Will,’ and with an open mind – simply let the music take the moment.” To put it simply, ‘Submit Thy Will’ is an alternative metal band working together to write and present an extensive range of original heavy, melodic, and emotionally driven music.
‘Submit Thy Will’ is a group of extremely hard-working musicians who love what they do, and it shows in all their performances! They are indeed worthy of your time, and well worth checking out!
Band Members
My name is Shane Hull-Muniz, and I literally have been listening to Metal since before I was born… Not joking, my Mom used to put headphones around her pregnant belly and blast Black Sabbath. Must have worked out because Black Sabbath is one of my favorite bands!
I’ve always wanted to play music (for as long as I can remember). Watching my Dad play in various bands as a rock drummer inspired me as well. I picked up the guitar at age 12 and taught myself to play while holding the instrument as a lefty. Weird thing is – I’m not even left handed, that’s just always how I picked up a guitar. Anyway, I’ve been in a couple of bands, but wanted to branch out and start my own, because, I felt like my repertoire of original music and lyrics was growing, and I wanted to bring it all to fruition with other like-minded musicians. The guys that I finally found are not only talented players, but all seem to have a similar passion, drive, and dedication to the creation of music as I find within myself. Additionally, they bring to the table their own brand of raw energy and creativity, along with that unseen magical spark that makes Submit Thy Will a strong and bonded band of brothers which I’m proud to be a part of. Love these guys!

Hello there, my name is Josue (Ho-sway), and I play lead guitar/scream for the band. The guys and I knew each other through out high school (except for Angelo). We met him later. It wasn’t until years later – after high school that we all caught up and wanted to be in a band. Cause – who doesn’t want to be a rock star???
But in all seriousness, music has been one of the very few things in this world that I have seen make people happy. I’ve always wanted to do that – bring joy to others. And, if my participation in making this music does so, then perhaps l can die peacefully.
I got somewhat of a late start in the metal scene. At first, I listened to bands like disturbed and bullet. Over the years however, my music appreciation has definitely expanded to bands like Dream Theater, Motley Crue, and Iron Maiden.

Hi, my name is Angelo, and, I play the drums. I guess you could say I’m the newbie in the band, because unlike the other guys, I didn’t grow up in the same area, and I went to a different high school. I started playing the drums and taking lessons at the age of 10.
Fast forward to 19 year old me. I was a college freshman who had never been in a band, and wanted to give it a try. So, I put up some flyers around in different music stores, and eventually got the call from Shane. He invited me to a rehearsal where I met the rest of the band. We jammed for a few hours, and got to know each other. Afterward, I remember driving home to Montgomery with a good feeling that I had found something worthwhile.
Good thing I felt that way, because here we are two years later, and I couldn’t imagine being in another band. From early childhood I knew I loved music, and the way it made me feel during my ups and downs. Provide the same kind of joy and inspiration to others, that bands like Foo Fighters, Metallica, Nirvana (the list goes on) gave to me would be extremely rewarding and fulfilling to say the least.

Hello, my name is Andrew and I’ve been addicted to music my whole life. I started working with the band as the sound engineer for their Prison City Film Festival show. I developed a true bond with the guys, not knowing that I would eventually be asked to step in on bass. I’ve been playing bass for over 20 years, emulating towards such players as John Myung and Billy Sheehan. I’m an avid fan of bands like Dream Theater, Rush, Amon Amarth and Lamb of God. Driven by the experience of live music, I am excited to be a part of the energy that comes from this band. I’m very fortunate to have met the members of Submit Thy Will and look forward to being a part of the family. Sköhl!
